The specter visits

Thanks for including what a chakor is. Haunting little poem that makes me wish to stay up and spend the night with this bird.

To find the other or merely a spectre? Haunting, indeed.

not much -- or maybe even too much to love in a sliver of a newish moon -- it is as you so nicely hint a specter of itself

I never knew of a 'chakor' before reading your poem...I like the idea of a bird that tracks the moon. I think maybe I was one of these birds in a previous life... :~)

Very well done...thank you for sharing.

You know I went right to my dictionary, when I couldn't find it, I had to goggle .. and there it was ... now that I understand, this is good.

That pesky moon is hard to find when it's past full and waning. Good poem!
